Hugh Kepets

Tribute to the

New York Public Library

The New York Public Library, celebrating its 130th anniversary, was formed by the consolidation of the Astor and Lenox libraries with the Tilden Trust in 1895. The key families involved in these institutions were the Astor, Lenox, and the Tilden family.

Hugh Kepets created three screenprints at our studio during 1986 and 1987 in tribute to those families.

The Detroit Institute of Arts has acquired the Stewart & Stewart Print Archive, including one impression from every fine art print edition and monoprint series printed and published by the partnership since 1980.
