This month Stewart & Stewart is pleased to focus on the compelling etchings created by Paul Stewart on his own handmade paper. The print featured to the left, Aerial, is one of many distinctive editions and unique color proofs that illustrate the artist’s concentration on imagined aerial views of earth. Aerial is a four color etching printed by the artist in a limited edition of fifty impressions on 100% cotton paper with irregular edges measuring approximately (given the nature of handmade paper) 21”h. x 28”w. Each impression is signed, numbered and dated by the artist in pencil. The artist is not related to the principals of Stewart & Stewart, but he does share their passion for fine printmaking.
